Wheaton College students were named to the 2018 men's track and field roster.

The University of Alabama will award some 2,077 degrees during winter commencement Dec. 16. A total of 12,594 students enrolled during the 2017 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

The Iowa State University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean's List honors students who were enrolled in 12 credit hours and earned a 3.5 grade point average for the term.

To qualify for inclusion on the dean's list, a student must have been enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student and must have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 grading scale.

Miami University Students Study Abroad in Summer

Miami University students who are ranked in the top twenty percent of undergraduate students within each division for first semester 2017-18 have been named to the dean's list recognizing academic excellence.

Augustana College announced 1,138 students were named to the Dean's List for the 2017 fall term. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a four-point scale for courses taken during the term.

The Iowa State University College of Design Dean's List honors students who have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for at least 12 credit hours of course work.

Over 3,500 students made the Dean's List for the fall semester

Yearly, Carthage College invites the community to celebrate the joy of the holiday season at the annual Carthage Christmas Festival, three performances of readings and music in the A. F. Siebert Chapel. These annual concerts are the College's Christmas gift to the community. Tickets to the Christmas Festival have been free since the festival began more than 20 years ago.

Four Christmas at Concordia concerts brought more than 3,000 Concordia students, faculty and staff, alumni and community members to St. John Lutheran Church near campus. The concerts featured the Women's Cantamus Choir, Male Chorus, Concordia Handbell Choir, University Brass Ensemble, University A Cappella Choir and University Symphonic Band.

Wheaton College students were named to the 2017-2018 men's basketball roster.

Concordia University, Nebraska's winter Jazzfest will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8 in the Weller chapel auditorium. The Concordia Handbell Choir and Handbell Choir II will perform at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9 in the Music Center's Recital Hall on Concordia's campus.

Wheaton College students were named to the 2017-2018 Wheaton Thunder women's swimming team roster.

The Wheaton Thunder women's cross country team won the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Championship for the second year in a row.

Wheaton College students performed in the fall 2017 Concert Choir concert, "Singing the Reformation: The Hymns of Luther and Praetorius."

The Carthage College Lady Reds overcame a 2-0 deficit to the number-eight team in the nation to win the 2017 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Women's Volleyball Tournament Championship, defeating the top seeded Millikin University Big Blue in five sets, 3-2. The tenth straight win by Carthage moves the Lady Reds to 25-8 on the season, while the Big Blue fall to 28-7. With the championship, the Lady Reds earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship.

The Wheaton Thunder women's tennis team won their first College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Championship since 2014.

Biola University named approximately 1,500 students to the university's Dean's List for academic excellence. Biola students are placed on the Dean's List to honor those with a grade point average of 3.60 or higher while enrolled in 12 or more credit units and whose cumulative grade point average is at least a 3.20.

Concordia University, Nebraska, will hold its Fall Composer Recital at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 7 and its Fall Honor Recital at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8 in the Recital Hall of the Music Center on campus.

A total of 47 first-year Carthage College students won scholarships ranging from 75 percent of tuition to full tuition, room, and board through a variety of scholarship competitions.
